ACE and DAZN shut down Italy’s most-visited illegal sports streamers

The Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE), together with DAZN, has successfully shut down Calcio, one of Italy’s most-visited illicit live sports streaming networks, following a joint investigation.  Calcio logged over 123 million visits worldwide in the past year, with over 6 million monthly visits coming from Italy alone.  The service was operated from Moldova and provided unauthorized access to premium sports content: European football leagues (Serie A, Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Ligue 1), UEFA competitions, FIFA World Cup and EURO tournaments, NBA games, motorsports (Formula 1, MotoGP), tennis, and more.  After being approached by ACE/DAZN, the operator agreed to cease operations. All 134 domains used by Calcio have been transferred to ACE and now redirect to its “Watch Legally” site.  ACE emphasizes that piracy undermines the value and integrity of live sports, harming rights-holders, broadcasters, and fans.
