The sports and audiovisual sectors unite to demand anti-piracy measures from the European Union
Leading sports leagues and major audiovisual companies—among them LaLiga, Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A and corporations such as Warner Bros. and The Walt Disney Company—have jointly sent a letter to the European Commission urging binding, effective legislation against live-piracy of sports and audiovisual content. They call for faster removal of pirate streams (within 30 minutes), live dynamic blocking for all EU states, and full enforcement of the Digital Services Act (DSA).
