Four Tennis Players Banned by ITIA for Match-Fixing
The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) has banned four tennis players for match-fixing violations. Carlos Andrés Sepúlveda Navarro (Colombia) received a 31-year ban, the longest among them, for 83 offenses across multiple matches. His compatriot William David Almendra was banned for three years. Elmer Moller (Denmark) received a nine-month suspension, and Petru-Alexandru Luncanu (Romania) got a five-year ban. The sanctions follow investigations into breaches of the Tennis Anti-Corruption Program (TACP). Sepúlveda was also fined $250,000. The bans reflect ITIA’s continued efforts to uphold integrity in professional tennis.
