IPTV piracy network busted, JioStar files FIR in Chhattisgarh
Indian media company JioStar has filed a First Information Report (FIR) in Chhattisgarh after authorities uncovered an IPTV piracy network accused of illegally distributing premium television channels, movies, and live sports content. Investigators allege that the operation provided unauthorized access to copyrighted broadcasts through internet based television services, causing financial losses to broadcasters and rights holders. Law enforcement agencies seized equipment and began investigating individuals linked to the network. JioStar stated that the action is part of its broader anti piracy strategy aimed at protecting content rights, combating illegal streaming services, and safeguarding revenues from licensed broadcasting and sports programming. The case reflects growing enforcement efforts in India against IPTV piracy and unauthorized content distribution.
